Disease duration

Postby Catherine27 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 11:30 am

Just watched a video by Dr. Irene Litvan and she stated that people with PSP do not normally survive more than 10 years. My husband is in his 12th year…has anyone else had a longer than expected life expectancy? My husband is still able to get around the house with a walker, he is not bedridden yet.

Those with PSP-parkinsonism live longer than those with PSP-Richardson's Syndrome. And those with the three other atypical forms of PSP can live even longer.
